We’ve all had moments when we creatively dry up; when we can’t think of a single good idea and when we have no interest, drive or motivation to make anything of any worth. It happens to us all…
To whit, this advert for the revolting tasting Weetabix sister brand Oatibix. Clearly the concept for this advert was invented on the way to the pitch meeting, possibly by 3 people listening to the radio desperately searching for an idea – any idea – to give to their client.
Inexplicably continuing their ‘hastily assembled roadside cafe’ motif, the marketeers opted to ignore all sense of real world logic and embrace an idea – not always a bad thing, but in this case a terrible one as even a slightly slow 5 year old could have told them the following:
- Roadside cafes don’t sell cereal, let alone foul tasting cereals.
- Delivery trucks never have three people in them.
- No-one – especially three men in a lorry – sings along to The Knack.
- The idea behind the advert is shit.
